Our History

Over twenty years ago Blake and Marci LaMunyon went to college with a Haitian student named Yves Prophet and began a friendship that has blossomed into a love for the people in Haiti, and a desire to serve them.  Blake took his first trip to Haiti in 1996 and he and Marci and their family have continued to love and help the Haitian people since that time.  They continue to work with Pastor Yves and his wife Samathe through Global Vision Citadelle Ministries (GVCM.ORG) — our primary partner in Haiti.

Hope Rising Haiti is focused on creating partnerships between people, churches, schools and businesses in the United States with on-site ministries in Haiti.  The dream is that these partnerships will lead to a prosperous future rising for the people in Haiti filled with material provisions and spiritual blessings.

“… serve one another in love.”
Galatians 5:13
