Provided a new church building for a growing congregation
About
The people of Cachiman have gathered in a rickety building for years. The roof leaked and the dirt floor was frequently muddy. But despite all this they remained faithful. Local leaders turned to Hope Rising Haiti to see if we could help. Through your prayers and generosity, this new building is now complete.
Our friend and construction foreman, Theo designed plans for a new building that would accommodate this community’s growing needs. This building would be used for church services, classrooms, civic events, and meeting spaces—what a blessing it would be for them. The cost of constructing a new church building was estimated at $98,000.
Progress continued mainly because of its more remote location. The crews were safe on the eastern side of Haiti near the Dominican border. We were so grateful for their efforts to make the dream of a new building a reality for the faithful people here.
Completion & Dedication
This church is located near the border with the Dominican Republic—giving our team an opportunity to complete the work without any interruption from gang violence. God is so good! Construction on Cachiman Church was completed in the fall of 2025. In the aerial photo, you can see the new church beside the old building. All praise to God, our Father!
In October, Pastor Blake was able to join the Cachiman community as they celebrated the new building. This is what Pastor Yves had to tell us about the dedication ceremony:
We witnessed a large gathering of God’s people, who were amazed that—despite the difficulties in Haiti—funding had been secured and workers under Theo’s leadership took great risks, all under the Lord’s protection, to construct this beautiful facility for worship.
It was a glorious day, and our friends in Cachiman beamed with pride as they admired this magnificent building dedicated to serving the Lord and their community. Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Hope Rising Haiti for their unwavering support, even when the odds seem insurmountable. God bless you.
