Praise God that the community of Boukantoro now has a well to provide clean water!
Thank you for your generous support of this project.
On the northwest side of Thomassique lies the small and faithful community of Boukantoro. The people of Boukantoro, like more than half of Haiti’s rural population, lack access to drinkable water.
They travel quite a distance every day to obtain water to sustain them – the old and the young alike. Full water jugs are very heavy, and the people must balance these loads to avoid making multiple trips or spilling any of the precious water during the long trek home. This has become a heavy burden. The people of Boukantoro prayed for a new well and remained faithful that God would answer their prayers.
With God’s provision, we began the drilling process. Once the well was drilled successfully, a concrete deck was poured to stabilize the well pipes and provide a flat base to place containers. Pictured here is the pouring of concrete at the construction location, as well as the finished project.
We are happy to report that their new well is now operating, and life-giving water is flowing smoothly from the well.
