One bus. One life-changing gift.
For more than a year, the school in Thomassique has gathered children from nearby neighborhoods and distant communities.
Today, more than 3,000 children attend this school. Some walk miles each way for the chance to receive a solid education. And they don’t just carry their books—they carry their lessons home, sharing what they’ve learned with parents and siblings who are eager to read and write, too.
But their long walks often lead to late arrivals to their first class of the day. When students are late, teachers must wait. And when teachers wait, everyone loses valuable time.
That’s why the school’s superintendent, Brother Withjean, reached out with a humble but urgent request.
He’s already located a used bus nearby. Now we just need the funds to bring it to Thomassique and to the students who need it most.
