A NEW HOME TO POSITIVELY IMPACT GENERATIONS
Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir and her family were waiting for a home with a sturdy roof, and with your help, we were able to give them one! It’s such a blessing to see how something as simple as a roof can positively impact generations.

Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir
Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir has 6 kids and 4 grandchildren, and they all live in a small house together. “During rainy seasons, I have lots of problems because the roof of the house is covered with plastic, which is rotten and very leaky,” said Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir. “My husband abandoned me in 2001, and since that time, I am the only person who fights with my life to take care of my kids.”
Unfortunately, Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir was hit by a motorcycle last year, which made it impossible for her to provide for her family. With all hope almost lost, Sister Grands Pierre Souvenir turned to God for support, which pointed her to Hope Rising Haiti.
Now, Sister Grands Pierre’s request has been approved by our local committee and is waiting for funding for her new home. She remains faithful and continues to pray that He will bless her family.

February 2021 Update
We are humbled to be a part of what God is providing for Sister Grands Pierre, and we’re happy to announce that construction of her new home is now underway! Here are a few photos of the progress at the construction site. Her new house will include a separate latrine and shower area for privacy.
