Jacqueline Osse's Home
Giving a family a safe, dry shelter
How we helped
Built sturdy home to protect from the elements
Prayers Are Answered!
Like many families in Haiti, Jacqueline Osse and her five children currently live in a tiny, unstable home that can’t protect them from the tropical weather. But thanks to your prayers and generous support, Hope Rising Haiti can provide this deserving family with a secure home to protect them from the wind and rain.
Life in Jacqueline’s home was incredibly challenging. During the rainy season, water leaked into the house and some of her family had to stand throughout the night to stay dry. In addition to the leaky roof, the unstable condition of the house makes it dangerous for the family to continue living there.
When Hope Rising Haiti’s local committee heard about Jacqueline’s need, they immediately approved her family to be placed on the list of home requests. Jacqueline was grateful for the help she will receive from Hope Rising Haiti, and credited the future blessing of a new home to the power of prayer.
We’re so grateful for your prayers and support, which helped provide for Jacqueline’s needs. Praise God that Jacqueline will receive a new home, and pray that the construction of her home will move forward without delay.
Home is underway
Jacqueline Osse and her five children live in a very small home that is vulnerable to the harsh wind and rains, and the rainy season makes the floors so muddy that the family has to take turns standing throughout the night.
Despite her challenging circumstances, Jacqueline has remained faithful, stating that “Prayer is the only tool available to me, and I am using it to petition the grace of God to send a Good Samaritan to help.”
We are excited to show you the progress that is being made on the new home for Jacqueline Osse and her family.
The construction team has completed the trenches for placing the walls. Rebar has been placed and the cinder blocks are forming the walls.
All praise to Him for answering their prayers!
