The Need:
A safe, sturdy place for a community to gather and worship
How We Can Help:
Build a new church building
About
Help build Malary Church
It began with the need for clean water. The people of Malary were walking long distances to collect water from unreliable sources. When Hope Rising Haiti received their request to drill a new well, we were happy to fill this need.
As neighbors gathered around the well and saw verses from the gospel inscribed nearby, questions began to stir: “Who is this man named John?” As their curiosity grew, people sought more knowledge of the Lord.
Before long, the Malary Church was born
Every Sunday, people gather from several neighborhoods at this structure to worship and pray. But growth has brought new challenges—there is no longer enough space to seat everyone. Further, after many years in the harsh tropic elements, their current building is extremely unstable and leans heavily to one side.
When our friend Pastor Yves visited this church, he shared with us:
“The need for a new church building in Malary is great. We are praying for the Lord's provision.”
PASTOR YVES
Would you help us provide a safe place of worship for the community in Malary?
Theo, our project leader, provided a drawing for the new building. We pray that God continues to provide light and hope to this growing community.
