Monia Remy's House
Home build: Spring 2017
The Need
A safe home to call her own
How we helped
Built a safe and secure home for a widow and her family to own.
Maude inspired us with her generous spirit and passion for serving Christ.
We wanted to help provide her with a safe, sturdy home.
Monia Remy, or Maude as she is affectionately referred to, has not had an easy life. Her husband passed away in 2016, leaving her to care for all of her children and grandchildren.
Her husband’s family threatened to steal her property and her old house, and frequently made life very difficult for her. On top of all of that, she caught the Zika virus.
Despite her difficult situation, Maude continued to serve Jesus and care for others in her community.
With the help of supporters like you, Hope Rising Haiti was able to build Maude a new home that keeps out the rainwater, snakes, and mice. She no longer has to fear that her home will be taken away, and she can continue to love and serve her family in her home for many years to come.
Thank you for continuing to support and pray for Hope Rising Haiti, and thank you for helping us meet the needs of wonderful people like Maude!
