Thomassique Church
The Need
A new church building after major hurricane damage.
How We Helped
From drawings to completion, we built a beautiful building for the church in Thomassique.
Rebuilding the church in Thomassique
Over 25 years ago, Blake had the honor of teaching and training a group of Haitian pastors at a small church in Thomassique, Haiti.
That week of training marked the beginning of a special partnership with the church, which has hosted several clinics and welcomed countless visitors and mission teams through the years. This church has been a crucial part of our work with GVCM to share God’s love and serve the people of Haiti.
Rebuilding
In 2022, strong hurricane winds tore away the church’s metal roof and caused major damage. Despite the loss, the congregation praised God for His blessings and protection.
After assessing the damage, it was clear that rebuilding the church was the best long-term solution. With your help, we began constructing a stronger building that would allow the people of Thomassique to share the good news of Jesus Christ for years to come.
Completion
In 2024, we completed construction! What began as a vision and a drawing has become a beautiful reality—and it’s all because of God’s provision and your generous support. We thank you for partnering with us to provide a new building for this faithful community to worship, grow, and serve the Lord.
Dedication & Celebration
Our team had the joy of attending the dedication ceremony. It was a day filled with gratitude and worship as the congregation gathered to celebrate this incredible milestone. The community was overjoyed to have a new space to share God’s Word.
Thank you for your continued support of our friends in Haiti. Your prayers and financial contributions play a vital role in the work we do for the Lord.
