**UPDATE**

We’ve been seeking a few businesses to partner with Gabby to start up her business. She is seeking financial help as well as a virtual business coach (via email) to encourage her and answer questions as she starts this venture.

God has provided $3,200 towards her $5,000 need. We are still praying for another $1,800 to help Gabby realize her dream and vision.

Are you a business owner?
Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit or experience?

Hope Rising Haiti is partnering with our long time student and friend, Gabby, who is launching her very own business. Gabby graduated from school in September with a degree in Management and Business Administration. She is now trying to move her dream forward to use her entrepreneurial heart and textile skills to create jobs, a steady reliable income for her family and services in her community.

“With the skills that I have obtained from God to make crafts I will be able to put my workmanship on display.” – Gabby

Gabby writes, “Haiti is a very difficult country, impossible to find a job if you don’t have someone inside who can get you in. I would like to start my own business. I have some skills in sandal and bracelet making, and my sister learned cosmetology. I see an opportunity to open a workshop with a beauty salon. If that happens I could help other young [people] go to school, and people in my area will find services closer and my family and I will find a way to earn some money to live. My dream is to start a clothing store and a beauty salon.”

“My plan is to build a small two-room store and salon in my neighborhood. The construction will be on the second level and will require two sets of concrete stairs and the two-room store will be constructed of cement, rebar, and metal roofing. The cost of construction for this small startup space is $5,000 USD.”

Opening a shop and selling her handmade sandals and bracelets will provide reliable and profitable work for Gabby.
