She is creating sandals.  She uses the machine to sew and reinforce the “strap” pieces at the top of the sandals.

Gabby puts her education and creativity in motion as she considers the styles and colors that her customers will want to purchase.

Gabby designs each pair of sandals. The braiding process takes about two and a half hours. The footbed of the sandals are made of a vinyl type material. The sandals are cut to size and then the outer sole is attached. The footbed is embossed with “Gabby’s Collection” a signature stamp that identifies her unique brand.

Gabby also creates “other items” like bracelets and hair accessories.

Gabby is a great example of what an education can do for the young people of Haiti. We’re so proud of the work Gabby is doing and we pray for her continued success.
